Former cricketer Basit Ali shared his Pakistan T20 World Cup squad in a video on his official YouTube channel on Monday.
The squad will be led by Babar Azam but there was no place for pacer Mohammad Amir in his 15-member squad.
“Amir has a lot of experience but I haven’t kept him in my squad. If Haris Rauf is unfit, then the selection committee could opt for Amir,” Basit explained.
The left-armer, Amir, took back retirement from T20 cricket last month and featured in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand on home soil recently. He took three wickets in as many innings during the series against New Zealand.
Basit also named all-rounder Agha Salman, pacer Mohammad Ali and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris as part of the travelling reserves.
